What Our Customers Say

Magnus Firearms threaded my 308 barrel perfectly. Threads are clean, concentric, and my suppressor mounts up with zero wobble. Turnaround was fast and communication was great throughout.

Jake R.

I shipped my rimfire barrel in and had it back within the week. The work is top notch — you can tell they actually care about precision. Will be sending more barrels their way.

Travis M.

Provo, UT

Best gunsmith experience I've had in Utah. They walked me through the right thread pitch for my caliber, got the job done right the first time, and the price was fair. Highly recommend.

How to Ship Your Barrel

Disassembly

Remove the trigger, optics, lower, and any accessories including rings, lights, bipods, slings, etc. from the upper/barrel. We don't want your entire firearm, just the barrel.

Packaging

Wrap the barrel in protective materials and place in a sturdy container. If your barrel/upper fits in a 4" x 8" x 48" box then it should fit in our cnc machine easily. If it's larger than that contact us before shipping.

Shipping

Use a tracked shipping service and insure the package for its full value. When the threading is completed we will contact you and you can pick up your barrel at our shop or we will mail it back to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

The correct thread pitch depends on your caliber and muzzle diameter. Rimfire and .20–.24 calibers typically use 1/2x28 or 7/16x28. Calibers from .243–.358 typically use 5/8x24 or 1/2x28. Larger calibers (.375–.458) typically use 3/4x24 or 5/8x24. Our quote form will guide you through the options for your specific caliber.

Most barrel threading jobs are completed within a few business days of receiving your barrel. We will contact you as soon as the work is done so you can arrange pickup or return shipping.

Yes. You can ship your barrel directly to us — no FFL transfer is required for a barrel alone. Use a tracked shipping service and insure the package for its full value. See our Process section for full shipping instructions.

If your barrel does not meet the minimum diameter for your desired thread pitch, we will let you know before any work is performed.
